JHU...Feasible for me?

So i'll simply do the usual I suspect....I'm a now a Senior at one of the most competitive high schools in the Bush state. I would like to major in either biomedical engineering or economics...or both if possible!!

So Here it goes:

Basic "Number" Stats

ACT -- june 21st scores come out....
SATII's-- Chem-- june 20th scores...but i think high 700's hopefully
Math IIC-- " "high 700's hopefully
Physics--" "high 700's hopefully
GPA-- not too sure maybe 3.7 or 3.8? don't know yet...but I got a 4.0 this semester...that should help
Class Rank: top 7 or 10%, 40 or 50 something... again, don't know yet

---I am about to start my research at IBM this summer and it should be something quite interesting!!

I hope to do a lot more research in college .....!!!

I understand that BME at johns hopkins is quite competitive to gain admission to...so if you guys could...please try to tell me things I should work on...and I know the first thing everyone will be saying is to get my grades up...but my current W.GPA is the same GPA as numbers 3 or 4 at other schools in our district...

Thanks for reading this guys. I truly appreciate those of you who put time and effort in actually writing laudable responses!

ok...i have a stats update so maybe you guys can assess my chances at ED at JHU:
Chem SATII-740
Math IIC - 780
Physics SATII- 750

and I forgot to put my old SAT score...it's not good ...but here it is..
720 Math/ 660 Verbal

So could you guys assess my chances at JHU ED...even if I might go BME?

not bme, other than that u are in

why would you say "not bme"...i would like some justification..that's all

ACT update as well...just got it..: 32

MED_TMud doesn't know anything. He's hasn't even completed the college admission process yet.

Take it from someone who has been down that road before. You are very likely to get into BME based on your research experience. Scores...scores are just scores.

ohh...I didn't know he hadn't finshed...kind of pretentious of him to comment on peoples' chances then huh? Well...thanks static...I've found your posts to be pretty helpful over the past months! I hope you have an awesome time in college

jeez.
it's just TMuds opinion, and you asked for it.

the problem with "chances" posts is very similar to you having someone read your essay and they give you their opinion. if you don't like what you hear, you get a sour attitude and it looks like that's what's happening here.

anyway, you have really good chances. if you can convince them that JHU is your number one choice school, then your already-pretty-good chances are even better. from the looks of it, however, you have your sights set on some other really tough schools as well. best of luck!
