I’m interested in government and political science - does Johns Hopkins have good instruction/opportunities in these programs?
This isn’t really my field, but I’ll give it a shot.
- Instruction Hopkins has a pretty well ranked political science department and an amazing international studies department with professors who are experts in the field.
- Opportunities Hopkins is also about 45 minutes from DC (where all the polisci opportunities are) and students are generally able to find internships in the field. Hopkins is also very research focused and there are opportunities for you to conduct polisci research while at Hopkins.
@saif235 thank you!
I’m attending Hopkins next year and will probably major in IS and History but I know for a fact that the term ‘Political Science’ was coined at Hopkins. There are many internship opportunities in DC and theres a fellowship program you can find at the JHU PS website. There are also many political advocacy groups on campus that you should look into. I heard that many students also participate in the social justice scene in Baltimore.
