Does JHU offer any scholarships to National Merit Finalists? I wrote down from somewhere that they give $500-2000 to NMFs who designate JHU as their first choice by April 1... but now I can't find where I got this info. Does anyone know about this?

Our policies changed this year. Johns Hopkins University no longer participates in the National Merit Scholarship Program and therefore does not provide separate scholarships to National Merit finalists. This means that a student's designation as a National Merit finalists or semi-finalist does not factor in the financial aid process.

Should a student notify the Admissions office if they have been designated a finalist then?

For Hopkins it does not matter, so it is not necessary.
