I got accepted to Johns Hopkins Neuroscience program and the NYU 7 year BA/DDS dental program. I honestly have no idea which one would be better, especially since the careers are so different. Any advice would be a major help. Thank you!

I’d personally pick the BA/DDS, since if you do that you’re set for 7 years and don’t have to worry about Med School. But it boils down to if you want to be a dentist or not…

It depends on what you want. Hopkins will prepare you either way to enter Dental school (just like any other school) and perhaps give you more time to decide what you want to do.

No use entering a DDS program if you don’t know you want to be a dentist.

How hard is it to go into ortho after graduating from NYU dental school?
Is the competition harder than if you graduate from any other schools?
If I apply to other dental schools (say, Harvard or Columbia) after my undergrad, would it be easier to go from NYU 3 year biology or JHU 4 year neuro?
