JHU: solid international reputation?

It seems to be highly ranked in all of the major international rankings guide. Is it known as a reputable schools overseas? Anyone here from abroad that can vouch for that? Is it still known outside of medicine?

super extremely famous...
right next to hypsm...more prestigious than lower ivys...

JHU has a great international reputation, and has 32 Nobel Prizes to it's name, which puts it 12th in the world. It has strengths in the sciences as well as the social sciences and humanities. It has the top International Relations terminal masters program in the country, and countless other top notch departments and programs.

It's very respected here in India due to it's awesome med school (medicine's huge in India).

I figured it was pretty well known, especially around academia. But my interest with JHU is non-medical. I would choose it for economics and government. Is the school known worldwide outside of medicine?

amazing international relations program. that's what ive heard

Yes - International Studies is huge at Hopkins and has an amazing program. The reputation is outstanding too not only at the undergraduate level but also at the graduate level with SAIS.

Hopkins has strong affiliations from what I hear with other top universities overseas and therefore it is quite well-known outside the US.
