<p>I believe CMU is the highest ranking school on your list for Chemical Engineering. UCLA on the other hand ranks higher for economics. CMU is likely to be more expensive to attend, but, as a smaller private university, you’ll probably get more individual attention than at a big state school like UCLA. The weather in LA is much nicer than in Pittsburgh. LA is also a big, cosmopolitan city, whereas Pittsburgh is a middle-sized “American heartland” city. </p>
<p>If money is not an issue, I’d personally choose CMU (based on purely academic criteria), especially for engineering.</p>
<p>im gonna go do chemE at cmu and double in BME. i chose it over hopkins. if you visit both they give very different feels and i didn’t get into BME at hopkins</p>
