I may major in Chem Engineering, Econ, but I'm not sure yet what my major will be.

and none of those colleges gave any kind of financial aid , but

WashU and Rice may will give me something.

But nothing is certain.

which is the best college for me?

I’m wrestling with my own college decision too. Rice and Emory are also on my list, but if you want to do chemical engineering, Rice is very well known for it. You can’t go wrong with WashU either. However, Emory, as you probably already know, does not offer engineering, so that will not be the best place to go.

Emory offers a joint program with Georgia tech for engineering. In five years you graduate with a BA from Emory and a BS in Engineering (any field) from Tech. The joint biomedical program is 3rd in the nation. Just an FYI

Can someone help me. I want to start a discussion on JHU vs Emory. I am just learning this website.

Unless you are looking at a top ranked engineering program, Emory beats JHU HANDS DOWN! There is better weather, friendlier students, more balance, and a more laid back atmosphere than at JHU. Although I have not visited JHU, I have visited Emory, and I feel Emory is superior to JHU in almost all aspects. These might be stereotypes about JHU, but I feel they are generally true.
