Hey! i am a senior at a private school in nj. I would like to know if i can get accepted to James Madison Univeristy:
3 year average out of 100: 92.6 UNWEIGHTED (3.7 unweighted)
2 years of honor society
2-3 clubs a year
one sport a year
3 years of community service
sats: 550cr 590m 670w (1810/2400) (1140/1600)
i have many electives
i take advanced math and advanced world history

Will i be accepted to jmu? Thanks! please reply ASAP! FREAKING OUT!!

Maybe. It’s not outside the realm of possibility. Good GPA, low SAT, good ECs. Happens all the time.

Fill out the application and find out.

@2 - If he’s a senior, I hope he’s applied already. The RD deadline may have passed or is about to (I have not checked).

OP: Admission to JMU continues to become more competitive, and the school attracts many well-qualified OOS applicants. If your guidance office keeps statistics on prior year applicants, that may provide some insight for you based ONLY on those numbers. The admissions process at most schools is based on more than GPA and SAT, “we are not admitting students, we are building a class” sounds trite but has much truth to it. Good luck.
