Jimmy…you should get in with no problem…it’s a great school, my son is a senior, we are also OOS. Good luck!

How about scholarship contention

Keep in mind JMU is a state school, and does not give out much in freshman scholarships as some other schools do. Most schools do that to attract a lot of top OOS students, and JMU does that without the scholarship offers.

If you were to get a freshman scholarship, I am assuming your scores would have to be closer to 1400 SAT’s, and 99 out of 100 GPA. The scholarships really only go to the top, top applicants.

Out of all my son’s friend’s at JMU, only one did receive a small scholarship, and that was $500.00 for music/talent.

oh ok. I want to go to JMU really nadly :-). its cheap for OOS anyway at about 29,000 a year so i dont mind if i get a scholarship or not. I just want to be accepted :-)
