Job work-study

How do you guys get the job from work-study? tips and tricks? I already made a resume.

Have you heard of zotlink?

Its a site where employers at UCI post up job postings, and it even has resume builders for you, and etc.

yeah so just google zotlink, it’ll give you instructions how to log in.

It shouldn’t be hard to find a workstudy job on campus.

yes, i’ve heard of zotlink. I just want to know if theirs any tips to getting a job. such as when is a good time to submit your resume, which work-study job will take in most of the people, GPA-wise you can get in, etc.

I currently have a workstudy at the mba career center, I got it by just submitting my resumes to what I think I qualify for and such.

But I mean just submit your resume any time before the posted deadline. I don’t really think they will look at your GPA. Prior work/volunteer experience and dedication + passion will you the jobs.

The UCI Dining & Hospitality services take in most of the students, if I’m not mistaken… I don’t think GPA matters that much, as long as it’s above 2.5-3.0 I presume…

If you have time, visit the career center across from starbucks on campus. Sign-in and tell them you want a take-10, 10 minutes to look at your resume and provide constructive criticism on what you can fix to make it ‘better’.
