A lot of people told me ZotLink would pretty much help with everything, but after actually checking it out, I don't really see much. I see 16 jobs available on campus that's non work-study and most of them are either expired or require some skills like programming or knowing how to make a website except 1. I did apply for that 1, but yeah, what are the chances. I just want to know how other people are getting jobs, and the main job I'm trying for is some form of student assistant or some person that helps out professors and gets paid for it.

It’s probably because they’re not hiring right now/positions are filled. Find someone working on-campus and get them to recommend you to your manager!
If you’re a student in the Social Sciences, I think this is what you’re looking for [Undergraduate Employment | UCI Social Sciences Undergraduate Studies](http://undergraduatestudies.ss.uci.edu/ugs_employment)
I’m not sure if other schools have the same thing, since that’s what graduate student TA’s are for.
