I have heard that Rice does particularly well in getting its graduates into top grad programs and jobs. Do top companies actively recruit at Rice and come to the campus to visit?? Does anyone have more information on this and that would be greatly appreciated.

I'm only a freshman, so i don't have a lot of experience with this...but yes, I have definietly heard of career fairs and recruiting sessions on campus, especially in the energy sector.

Graduate Placement from Rice is excellent, especially in the more engineering-related fields. Despite the fact that I was just barely in the top third of civil engineering majors my year, I was accepted to all of the top-ten structural engineering programs that I'd applied to, including those at MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Cornell, University of Illinois, Georgia Tech, and UT. My colleagues who went directly into the industry are making about 50K a year at the top firms in the nation.

Best of luck!
