<p>When your friends give you a hard time about going to Leland Stanford Junior University, just tell them it is a jock school. Women's final four, may go the whole way.</p>

<p>The sole reason Stanford > Duke…they care about their women’s basketball team! </p>
<p>hahahahaha, Stanford is a much better fit for me for many other reasons, but, literally, when I visited Duke, the tour guide even said, “Yeah, unfortunately our women’s basketball team doesn’t have much support on campus.” He didn’t even mention that they had gotten a number one seed in the tourney. Gah, it made me and my parents so mad! </p>
<p>On the contrary, I look at Stanford’s online store and the most popular item is, “Stanford Women’s Basketball Final Four 2009!” Yay! That’s what I’m talking about. ;)!

<p>Yeah, I play basketball (and soccer), but I probably won’t do either at a varsity level at Stanford (basically because bother teams are crazy good). Lol. I will probably do club and intramural sports…anyone else here interested in that?</p>

<p>Man, I’m so completely excited about intramural sports! During high school, I played varsity basketball, but I’m not good enough to go the the NCAA Division I Final Four like the Stanford Women right now :)</p>
<p>I wanna try a bunch of sports: flag football, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, whatever interests me. That’s something that really drew me to Stanford - they’re smart, smart people who also value athletics. We don’t have to choose between the ‘jock school’ and the ‘nerd school,’ y’know? We can have it both ways!</p>
