<p>Okay I love Muir and I want to put it as my first choice, but those dorms are just sick, well atleast they look like that in their dorm tour on the ucsd website.</p>
<p>So I know they are renovating them this summer, but what are they changing? Paint? Furniture?</p>

<p>I don't know what they're renovating exactly, but during Orientation, Tenaya wasn't THAT bad. I mean, they're old, you know? But when you're actually living there, it's pretty easy to make it homey. A few posters, rugs and color, and really, it's not so bad. =</p>
<p>Yea, I must admit I didn't love Tenaya too much when I was there for orientation... But! I can definitely picture it being nice once I add some wall decoration.... a rug or two... a nice colorful bedcover.... etc.

<p>And Tioga's being renovated; plus, if you get a high enough floor, you can get a GREAT ocean view so hey. I'm sure I'll like it well enough.</p>
<p>I didn't like the bathrooms though! They're like... public restrooms!</p>
<p>Anyways, I didn't care too much about how ugly the dorms were. JMC is still the best. :)</p>

<p>Warren was my 2nd pick, but Muir has the close beach. The trail to blacks is right across the street from Tioga. I personally like the muir dorms. They're old, but there isn't anything bad about them.. the showers are nice, etc. I just hope I get into the house I applied for... 5th/6th floor Tioga.. can you say best ocean view?</p>
<p>The dorms are kind of ugly, but as long as you can live in them, what the heck! The only problem I have is with the bathrooms, which are kind of grody. Other than that, completely liveable and pretty spacious. And they're refurnishing Tioga, but I think they're leaving the ugly brick walls.</p>
<p>I personally really like the muir quad compared to some of the other colleges. Also it's like in the middle of UCSD.</p>
