Johns Hopkins ED Applicants Thread

I reread the ed admissions to confirm what you posted. Thanks for the insight. He’s planning on Neuro major Cog Sci minor. He loved Intro to Neuro with Dr. Hendry last summer even though he reported it was the most frustrating course he had ever taken. He also took the Bio Molecules course and enjoyed that as well. Best of luck to all, Hopkins is an amazing place. So who is from where? We are western NY.

Double major is neuroscience (or cog sci I can’t decide) and writing seminars!

Pardon me, I should have been clearer.

Does anyone know how many classes one takes per semester, on average?

I’m from Houston.

I’m pretty sure it’s four or five; that’s pretty standard at most campuses. Probably five because Hopkins is full of highly motivated people.

Sorrry Melin720 not Merlin. Stupid old guy here. We know some of the students are taking anywhere from 18 Credits on up. It depends on the credit hours per course.

Its usually four or five classes (I think usually five if you have a science class with a required lab as well; 15-18 credits per semester if I’m not mistaken). And I’m from southern California.

Reppin’ the Big Apple

NJ (and I’m semi-proud of it lol)

also from nj, specifically the philly suburbs

i’m from so-cal =)

I’m from Maryland, JHU is about 30-45 minutes away depending on traffic. I love visiting there and fantasizing about attending. I definitely have a creeper crush on the school. Only 9 more days!

8 more days!!!

Good luck everyone! jhu will be lucky to have all of you. :)

8 more days!! I’m so nervous, it almost makes me feel ill. Good luck everyone.

I applied for Biomolecular Engineering. Haha.
And, alexc91, I’m from the Philly suburbs too, the PA side. (:

^Is biomoelecular Engineering the same thing as Chemical Engineering? (they are both included in the same major right?)

Yep, it’s all under Chemical and Molecular Engineering.

Woot! we’re almost there:)

I get to spend the next week at home with a 7 inch tube in my chest because of a collapsed lung…yay?

But on the bright side 1 week left!

^ Sorry to hear that. Get well soon and good luck :)

7 days now!
