Aaand, the count down has begun.

lol i think we should countdown starting from day 10 =)

I can’t wait to see my rejection letter! :D

It’s okay. I got deferred by UMich today…being OOS sucks. idk, it really brought down my self-esteem. Eugh. Such a brutal process college admissions is. =(

^wow you could find out already? it’s still early O_o

well, it’s rolling (since it’s a state school)…and being from NJ most definitely didn’t help.

i applied ed to hopkins but im still confused as to how we are notified on december 15th. is it by email or a letter in the mail?

@college20

a fairy comes down from the skies to wake u up with ure admission notice

so i guess that means you dont know either

if you read Hopkins Insider, you would know that they send out mail on Dec. 15th and email applicants with the email they provided on their app on Dec. 15th so check ur email i guess

I had a question about financial aid. If you’re not applying for it, you don’t have to send in anything right, like an application or email? My mom keeps on thinking you do and that it affects your admissions, but I know that it doesn’t since the financial aid website states that they are evaluated separately.

I’m pretty sure you’re right. There’s a section on the Common App, I believe, where it asks if you’re going to apply for Financial Aid. If your answer is no, I don’t see why JHU would need to have your information. And I’m also quite certain that JHU does not take financial need into consideration for Admissions. (Barring International Students?)

Correct. If you are not applying for financial aid there is nothing you need to complete or send in. Applying for OR not applying for financial aid does not impact your decision. In fact, the Admissions staff does not know if you a file complete with the Financial Aid Office. They are separate processes.

Not too much longer now! Good luck to all of you.

I’m glad to know that I’m not alone in my anxiety. It’s a shade lonely to be a Hopkins applicant from Texas. lol.

Does anyone know how accurate the little “school info” thing (all the way on top next to the applicant stats) on CC is? I was looking at the avg. SAT/ACT scores, and while they somewhat make sense, it makes me wonder if they’re actually right…

Today was my birthday…and the day still dragged because of anticipation. Please just get here now 12/15 at about 6 PM!

Happy Birthday ^^! And its only 15-ish days left now so :D.
