If you had traveled to JHU for a visit and tour (from CA) do they check that or do you need to notify them of the
date ?
T minus 1 month and 3 days for results!
Does anyone know how important test scores are to admissions? My official ACT scores still haven’t gotten there yet and idk how to feel about it I got my HS counselor to send unofficial scores yesterday tho but I’m a bit shook… How will this affect my admission decision?
Did anyone get an email with instructions on how to set up your account for the Johns Hopkins University admissions decision website?
@ricegum Nope
does anyone know when the emails for setting up the admission portal will be out?
Well, that email went out today in case anyone didn’t see it! Just over a month to go…

I applied ED for chemE. Good luck to everyone!
Does anyone whether it is too late to schedule an alumni interview? Also, will doing an interview help or hurt my application at all? I’m worried that my speaking skills aren’t good enough to make a good impression…
@bacon457 According to the JHU website, interviews won’t make or break your application. They are just a good opportunity for the applicant to talk to an alumnus and get any questions about the University answered. I’m not sure about whether or not it is too late, though. Also, the interviews with alumni are rather casual so you don’t have to worry about your speaking skills too much as long as you can break the ice early.
Has anyone applied for financial aid? I received an email saying that I have missing documents. However, I submitted my stuff about 2 weeks ago. The financial aid checklist still says they are awaiting my fafsa and css profile. The process date for both my fafsa and css profile was November 13th. Does anyone know how long the financial aid checklist on mydecision.jhu takes to update?
@awexy88 Their portal always takes a while to update. Then again, they apparently still haven’t received something of mine. I emailed them, and they said they’re aware of some issues affecting the portal.
In other news, 15 days, 4 hours, and 45 minutes to go. And, yes, I do have a timer on my phone.
@WCEdmonds Thanks! I emailed them too and they told me that they would have to manually pull my financial aid docs due to some error.
I requested an interview and never got one. Should I be worried?
@sandiee No i wouldn’t be. When i was on campus, i asked if i should schedule one, and the admissions woman said that they really don’t consider the interviews.
@sandiee I did too and I never heard anything about it. I think we’re fine…or we’re both just not getting in, haha.
@bionerd1299 @WCEdmonds Thanks! I also asked when I visited campus and she said the interviews were mostly for students who can’t visit JHU. I was just worried because some other people said they got them.
