Does anybody know about the off-campus alumni interview for Johns Hopkins? I called the undergraduate admissions office today and they said the interview is optional and that I need to register on their website if I’d like one. I checked the school’s website but cannot find the page for setting up an interview anywhere.
I found it for you. Go to the Visit Hopkins section. Keep scrolling down until you see “Admissions Interviews.” Click on it. Scroll down. There is a link to Off-Campus Alumni Interviews. Then there is a sign up form.
Did you do your interview? They say that they do not consider them in the application process but my daughter had an awesome interview and she definitely thinks it helped. On the contrary, don’t worry if you didnt get one because my boys both got in, ED, and never did an interview.
@4togo4 I haven’t done an interview yet, but you are able to request one after you submit your application (which I haven’t finished yet). I have been able to visit Johns Hopkins yet, but I’d like to do the interview to learn more about the school.
@4togo4 It’s great that your daughter had a good interview, but in all honestly, the interviews don’t really matter. Unless your interview is truly exceptional, most interviewers don’t really care because they end up interviewing so many talented individuals. On the other hand, her great interview certainly can’t hurt. Anecdotally, I never did an interview and I got accepted so… haha
