I'm an international student from Shanghai, China, currently taking IB courses. I'm interested in Health area, and want to be a dentist/nutritionist in the future, so the undergraduate education is really important! I've learned to play instruments since I was little, so I really don't want to drop that during the college year. So I may probably take a music minor or attend music group as EC.
I know JHU is really famous for its research opportunities and pre-med program, and Public Health is the major I intent (though I know probably it's very hard to get in). But Barnard can share resources with Columbia, and it is in the NYC. NYC has much more fun than Baltimore! They are both really good! However, I've never been to a all-woman college, so I really don't know how student life is like in Barnard!
My counselor told me that both colleges I need luck to get into, but they are both really good, and I cannot pick an ED school out of it. I know my standardized test scores may not be as good as they want yet (around 2000 for SAT and 100 for TOEFL), but I really want to try hard to get into one of those colleges!
Can you guys share some experience with me at JHU or Barnard? I just finished 5-week summer program at JHU, so I really want to hear more about Barnard! Please!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
