I'm a high school senior that's planning on majoring in neuroscience and moving on to medical school.

I really need your suggestions on some perspectives:

Yale is a great school, but from what I've heard, their sciences courses aren't so strong compared;
JHU is super competitive, and everyone's a premed, but the students seem to be best prepared (if you're not cut out, that is);
Columbia is providing me with the best aid...

"JHU is super competitive… but the students seem to be best prepared (if you’re not cut out; that is)

^ I don’t think that a super competitive aspect will work well for you because med school is all about GPA + MCAT. Your MCAT will be great because you will be super prepared… but your GPA will suffer being in arguable the toughest pre-med program in the country ^.

Personally, I would go with the one that gave me the most aid (Columbia), but Yale is an excellent choice as well if money is not too important.

Seriously, I’d take Columbia or Yale. Yale’s science courses are fine. Premed sciences are pretty basic, so frankly any major university is fine. And if Columbia’s giving you the best aid, that sounds like a pretty good situation to me.

I agree that the OP is nuts for turning down Columbia if it’s a good fit and provides the most scholarship money. The OP seems to think that JHU will be the magic bullet for medical school admissions, and that’s absolutely not true.
