Johns Hopkins

I really want to go to John Hopkins, What are my Chances ?
I have a weighted gpa of 3.56
SAT score of 2080

I have done extra curricular courses in phlebotomy, Radiology, Medical Assisting, and MRI Technology. Also I have a diploma in Medical assisting, and phlebotomy.

I have worked as medical assistant(paid) for various physicians, for the san jose medical group.
and also worked in India as a Medical Assistant(volunteer)

I have done three medical internships. two abroad (India and England), and one at El Camino Hospital.

I have participated in 4 sports during my highschool career . ( water polo, tennis, Taekwondo, and Boxing)
I have competed and won multiple tournaments for Taekwondo, and I am a registered Black belt

I have had 3 other jobs during my high school career(besides the medical assisting)

I have approximately 105.3 hours of community service. (soup kitchen and church)

and I have also helped construct and maintain school plays

Hey also, what other schools are a fit for me

Hmmm…your GPA is on the low side for Johns Hopkins, but your ECs and volunteers are pretty sick  Those medical internships look pretty amazing to me, plus you’re all over the place in sports. You have a reason for the GPA because you seem to really be keeping yourself busy. I would look at Tulane, Emory, maybe Northeastern, and other schools are escaping me right now. I’ll get back to you on this…

Oh, P.S., what’s the rigor of your classes?

Chance me back?

Oh! Miami University in Ohio, and you should look into some liberal arts colleges in the Midwest that fit: DePauw, Denison, etc. (that is, if you’re down with liberal arts colleges)

My classes are rigorous too an extent, i have had 3 ap’s sophmore year, 3 again for junior, and one senor year.

weighted 3.5 isn’t strong for that caliber a school + the sat’s are exactly avg. for JHU as well so odds aren’t great but not bad either.

looks like you’re from CA…Cal or UCLA?

ohhh not as many aps as jh would probably like to see. how strong is your hs/how many aps does it offer? gpa is really on the low side and sat could increase a little though its alright. ecs are solid though. i think jh is def a reach for you though you have a chance. look into other schools like uofr, case, boston college, even nyu which would be more match/medium reaches for you. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1427201-cornell-chances.html</a> chance back please :)
