I am an International student. I am an undergraduate. I've always wanted to go to Johns Hopkins. Although its pretty impossible for an international student to be accepted, I at least wanted to try. So here I am, at the cross roads. I'm going to apply for the pre-med course. I got my results, and I have a GPA of 4 for my 12th grade, but my culminate GPA is 3.7. I got a 2200 on my Sat, and a 35 on my ACT. I took the TOEFL, and I got a 100/110. I took the IELTS, and scored a 7.5.
I've volunteered at the hospital every summer for the past three years. I was the captain of the throw ball team in school. I helped out at a research laboratory during the weekends. I was the assistant for the physical fitness and nursing for the Sports Authority of India. I have volunteered at U &I (An institution that provides free teaching for kids) for 8 hours a week. I have organised blood drives. I am a part of AICUF, that helps the poor. I have shadowed a doctor (Dr.Kalyan) at Manipal hospital during my winter break. I took part in the National Skating Championship and came 3rd. I'm a part of the AIDS club for children (Prevention and awareness of AIDS). I am a member of ROTRACT( we teach poor children at schools during weekends). Took part in the Science olympiad and got a silver medal.
I have taken part in several seminars to talk about Cancer and its prevention. I am an amateur photographer and a classical dancer. I used to be an athlete. I was the head of a rally that was conducted to prevent diabetes in 2013. I know this is not much, but I don't want to waste too much time if I have no shot at all. So could you please tell me if I could apply? Thanks!
