Johns Hopkins

Is it possible to get into the John Hopkins BME program without taking SAT Math 2 even if I take the test in other subjects like Bio, Chem and Physics?

@fmwaz5 if it is required for admission, you have to take the test for your application to be considered. No ifs, ands, ors, or buts about it.

While late to the party, I want to clarify no program requires subject tests at Hopkins. However, they “encourage” applicants for engineering majors (including BME) to submit Math II and one other subject test in a relevant subject area (biology, chemistry or physics for engineers). For all other programs at Hopkins subject tests are considered and many applicants do apply with them since other colleges require them for admission, and if you have good scores why not flaunt them?

The “encourage” means you won’t be disqualified but you will probably be at a disadvantage against other applicants when they have a metric to be measured against and you have nada.
