<p>I'm transferring to berkeley this fall and I am thinking about rushing a sorority however I hear that they may treat transfer students differently or not be as likely to give you a bid? Is this true? I'm 18 also, so i would be the age of a freshman... Is anyone else planning on joining?</p>
<p>I’m a guy, so take this with a grain of salt, but I heard the best sororities don’t have any transfers. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t rush but it seems like the elite sororities don’t care about us transfers. It looks like the popular thing to do is just to rush and see how it plays out for you. If they like transfers, then they like transfers. If they don’t like us, then screw them!</p>
<p>I went up to visit Berkeley and actually met some sorority girls. They seem super friendly and I would imagine that they are ready to bring in new faces. That’s my assumption.</p>
<p>Yeah I’ve heard the same thing actually which is really annoying! Oh well, i agree we’ll give it a try and see what happens.</p>
