I am a junior in high school now. This year and next year I will be taking all of my classes at a community college because my high school only offers a few AP classes (Calculus AB, US History, and Economics). My question is: How will this look that I did this on college applications? The classes aren’t the most difficult classes, but more so than my high school classes. So far I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in the college classes I have taken which are:
Language & Literature I
Language & Literature II
Intermediate Spanish I (Spanish 4)
Intermediate Spanish II (Spanish 5)
Calculus & Analytic Geometry I
Principles of Chemistry I
Robotics
The classes I will be taking in the summer and/or my senior year are:
Introduction to Language & Linguistics
General Physics I
Physics for the Engineering Major I (Same as Physics C-Mechanics)
Calculus & Analytical Geometry III
Linear Algebra
Calculus & Analytical Geometry IV
Differential Equations
Principles of Chemistry II
Organic Chemistry I
Organic Chemistry II
(Conversational Spanish)
I know that there are many other factors in college admissions, but will taking classes like these at a cc look like I took initiative? My high school really isn’t that great, so this was basically the best thing I could do.
