What information, general but especially personal/anecdotal, does anyone have about joint enrolling at GT? Specifically, does HOPE do anything for joint enrollers? Is there a limit on the number of courses one can take? Are sufficient classes available to make it enjoyable/beneficial? I will have already completed calc bc, stat, chem, and both physics c.

I have no experience joint-enrolling at Tech.

I have experience joint-enrolling at another state school in Georgia. If you fill out the Accel form and fulfill the requirements, then HOPE will pay.

I believe Georgia Tech has an eight-hour semester cap.

Based on what I see at OSCAR, yes.

I know kennesaw lets you do 2-3 courses joint enrollment or 4-5 full time. Does GT increase the credit cap if you attend full time there, and not at all at your high school? And yeah, I know, I should probably ask on the kennesaw board, but you seem to have looked into this. Any other gems of wisdom on joint enrolling you have would be muchly appreciated.

I believe that web page will answer most of your questions.

If you can, try to find out when the finals of your potential joint-enrolled classes are. Last year, I had to take three finals - two college and one AP - in two days. Wasn't very fun, but thanks to studying, I did well on all three.

Georgia Tech classrooms are bigger than the classrooms here, so definitely sit in the front. It makes the class feel so much smaller.

Don't be afraid to talk with your university classmates. There will likely be an initial awkwardness if they ask you what your major is / what year you are, but after that, the ice is broken.

Be confident in your abilities. Your peers are smart, no question, but you're there - so there's no doubt that you can perform at a high level.
