Hey guys, for my senior year, I was planning on this schedule:
AP Computer Science
AP Economics
AP Lang
Hon Physics
Hon Multivariable Calc
Hon Anatomy and Physiology
Applied Science

however, I feel like this would be a lot of work, and I want to replace Applied Science with "International Cultures and Cuisines" where we cook. Would colleges look down on this, because I'm taking a complete joke class, or does my schedule still look "strong"

When colleges want students to take the most rigorous courseload possible, that doesn’t mean EVERY SINGLE slot has to be such and that you have to have taken say, 15 out of 15 AP classes offered. That’s just impossible to do and colleges know that. I’d go with the cooking class in a heartbeat.

Colleges do not see Senior Year grades. This is the perfect opportunity to load your senior year with as many AP classes as possible to show the college that you are able to deal with such a rigorous courseload. As long as you don’t get any C’s, this strategy generally works out very well.

Not to mention that from late May through early August, CC is overrun with threads of the nature, “OMG, I’m going to get rescinded because of my second semester grades!!!”

Well, I didn’t give a crap my senior year of HS after I got accepted and ended up getting straight B’s. My acceptance didn’t get rescinded and I’m pretty sure that my 6 AP classes senior year were a big boost towards my acceptance.

it sounds like you go to wootton? your schedule is already impressive, so icc wouldn’t hurt you. but if u want a relaxing period try yearbook. you do nothing, it’s an honors class for some reason, and it goes on your transcript as honors journalism. that’s an automatic 5 for your wgpa
