joke?

Hey all. I applied to Harvard and was kind of not serious because my chances of getting in are about as great as a pig falling out of the sky. In any event, I filled out the Common App for Harvard and they have contacted me for an interview. Should I even bother? Thanks :)

Yes of course you should! You are sooo lucky you got an interview! Do you live in the Boston area or no?

Do it!

Better to try and gain experience than not try and gain nothing.

lol who ever said pigs couldn’t fall from the sky?

Good point! Sheesh, I am applying and I am just as nervous.

Almost every applicant gets an interview. Of course, go to the interview, but it doesn’t necessarily connote that they are about to accept you or anything.

Go there just for the experience alone. Speak to a Harvard graduate and learn something!

Really? I didn’t know that :-/

Interviews are based solely on whether there is an available person near your location. It has nothing to do with how good/bad your application is.

I also forgot to mention that I neglected to pay the application fee, still haven’t sent my SAT scores, haven’t filled out the supplement. I have filled out the bare minimum. I think that is why I am so shocked that I was contacted for an interview!

By the way-thanks to everyone who has responded I REALLY appreciate it!!! :)

oh and i live in new jersey! so not really the boston area haha

So do I :-)!!

ah realllly?! that’s awesome!

I know :-). Small world, huh? Well good luck on your interview. I’m sure you will be just fine ;-).

Tornado happens XD

thank you so much MorganSimone…good luck with everything!

If you don’t want to go to Harvard, don’t waste the alum interviewer’s time by having an interview. Alum interviewers are busy people who are volunteers.

It’s not that I do not want to go. I just don’t have a shot in hell
