journalism grad: Colubmia, NYU, or Fellowship at American

I need some advice, please! These are my top offers:

-NYU's Business and Economics Reporting program with $26,000 scholarship (leaving tuition at $32,000)
-Columbia's magazine program, no financial aid offer yet
-American, with a fellowship to Center for Public Integrity, full ride, $24,000 stipend

So, is the prestige/job opportunities regarding the fellowship comparable to the prestige/job opportunities coming from NYU or Columbia?

Any opinions and advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Congratulations! I’d take the fellowship with the Center for Public Integrity in a heartbeat. Not only is it a free ride, but you’d be affiliated with a very prestigious journalism organization and have an opportunity to do some really interesting and notable work.

I’d go to American, even independent of the money. I think you will get MORE opportunities coming out of American, especially if you link up with folks from the School of International Service and School of Public Affairs.
