I am a freshman in high school with a 3.5 average GPA. My dream is to become a fashion journalist and I heard NYU has a really good program for journalism. I know NYU is harder to get into than NYU Film, another program I was looking at. What do I need to do to get into NYU(grades, etc.)?
What are some extra curricular activities I can do to gain experience or help me become a fashion journalist?
What are other school that offer a great program?

On collegeappsabout.com or just about anywhere you can see what they are looking for in grades and test scores but much more important is a proven track record of commitment to your passion. Take online college level journalism courses or attend a summer program, submit your articles to bloggers, create your own blog for school, write for the local paper, volunteer for anything related to fashion or journalism. You’re in a great position to show 4 years of serious work in this area. Having a dream is great but showing you’re making your own dream come true is what counts. There are 50 journalism schools in the country and nyu would certainly be great for fashion. Good luck!

Do you mean New York Film Academy is easier than NYU? Because NYU’s film department is extremely competitive and on par with the rest of NYU. At any rate, just look at average credentials for accepted students. Also, fair warning, at NYU journalism is a dual major only, so if you choose to major in journalism, you ALSO have to pick another major as well
