Hi everyone,

I recently applied to JSA Summer Camp at Georgetown and was accepted, with a 500 dollar scholarship. At the time when I applied, I was pretty excited about it, but now thinking back on it, it is extremely expensive (around $4000 for 3 weeks) and I'm not really sure about it anymore. In addition to JSA camp, I am also going to debate camp in Michigan, which also has a pretty hefty fee.

Has anyone here been to a JSA summer camp, specifically Gtown? Is it worth it? I mean, I could probably take the class at school my senior year, and are the speakers really all that great? The thing is, over the course of this year, I have felt my focus shifting away from JSA and really into debate (I do policy yayy :)), esp. since I feel like I relate more to debaters than JSAers. Thoughts, anyone?

If I don't decide to go to JSA, what would other options be for filling in that 3week slot? I am currently a soph, so I guess I would be doing SAT prep, but I am already doing that in August for a month after debate camp. I don't think an internship would be plausible either, since I would only have a month or so before leaving for debate.

Thanks for any input!
