JSA vs. Debate Camp vs. Volunteering vs. Any other suggestions?

Hi there!

I'm looking for something to do this summer, and I'm really torn as to what I want to choose. I really love policy debate, and thats why I want to go to debate camp (in UMich). But I also know that colleges like it when you do things over the summer like take courses.

Does anyone know if the JSA program is any good? I like politics, but I am not well versed in it per se. I've seen two extremes of opinions on the discussion board, alot of people hated it but alot of people loved it. What are your opinions?

And I was also considering volunteering abroad. I'm not sure if the programs I've found are legitimate or not. Does anybody know any legitimate and good volunteering abroad programs?

Any other suggestions for summer programs? Any help is appreciated :D

Thanks!

bump...anyone have an opinion?

do what you love..i'd say go for the debate camp!
you could probably volunteer abroad as well to going to the camp too.
my friend went to global leadership adventures in costa rica last year.
