Hi,
As the test is coming up on June 1, 2013, I thought I'd make a thread for discussion so that people can ask questions and discuss the upcoming physics sat. How are you all preparing and has anyone seen any interesting/difficult/hard questions that they wanted to discuss?

I think most questions are fairly straightforward in terms of testing only basic concepts.
My review book has rotational motion but so far I have only seen 2 questions on that appear in the 4 practice tests I have taken so far. Can someone confirm whether this topic is worth studying or not? Im in IB Physics HL so we dont cover angular momentum and stuff.
Magnetism and Induction are killing me though.
Thermodynamics seems easy.
Nuclear physics is easy.
Mechanics is basic but sometimes tricky
Waves are ridiculously easy
electric fields should be easy but I suck at that too.

I have taken the physics test on May4 and I omitted 9 questions. I hope I can got a 750. It was a little messy that Barron mock test.

If you omitted 9 questions and just got 1-2 wrong, I believe that is still an 800!

How would you guys compare the difficulty of the Physics SAT 2 to the Bio SAT 2?

I’d say it’s harder. I took the bio sat last year and it was pure memorization, no concepts. Physics is harder for that reason–it’s not just learning some facts, you have to apply your knowledge.

Ergh, I’m taking the SAT after only having AP preparation.

Tried teaching myself waves and optics these past two days… PR is oddly more difficult that Barron’s. What the heck.

Lol I just took the sat physics and now I’m sitting in Starbucks crying alone. I took it in May and I got 750 on that one, thinking that I would get 800 after a month of AP physics preparation… I thought the June one is much harder than the one I took in May. 6 omitted and possibly 5 wrongs …

This is not the thread for test discussion.
There’s another “official” one.
