June 14 2014 ACT Discussion

I think ACT just trolled us all…I wonder if anyone got a 36 for this test

@austin23 So do you remember if the answer was B?

What did the cloud question say? Was it, “Was it a cloudy day?” if so I said no.

What’s everyone thoughts about that bombay section.

Every passage had a “suppose the writer question” lol ■■■ there’s like no way to study for these tests anymore lolololololol

I thought this English was so weird. I think they’re already implementing their new formatting. Did you notice almost every passage had a question about whether or not it effectively did _____? Usually there’s only one or two.

Oh yeah, and the questions with the other critics or writers or whatever it was who added opinions to the 3rd split passage was weird too. Anyone remember those?

@SammyxB I thought that Bombay passage and the jaws that jump ants passage were pretty easy, and the passage about the underwater mountain was okay, and the compare and contrast passages were kind of hard

One final question. There was a reflexive pronoun question with like himself or themselves and you had to decided whether or not a comma was needed. I put that there was no need for a comma.

For the Bombay passage there was one question that asked what was the photographer concerned with?

They want us to fail @bwany6

AHAHA Omg people are insulting the ACT page on twitter. This is what one person said:

@AbbyHansen13 Good question! Those questions were for test development purposes and won’t be counted toward your score!

Im glad I didnt have part 5

I felt like the English, Math and science were easier than the April test. The April English test tested you on random words like unerring.

I had form 720 for act

Also did you guys know they are trying to make the ACT free response?

and yea .i think it was how there is more to life in bombay or w.e beyond thep hotos of just places and not people living daily

guys for the science question with the acceleration i don’t think it was testing knowledge…it said that they are dragging the box with a constant velocity so no acceleration lol…and therefore 0 m/s^2

^ That is ridiculous the ACT would have that question though.
