Hey. So for the english section I have read that there were 2 questions that the answer was whom. I cannot recall those 2 questions. Does anyone remember it

So I have June ACT Special Testing and I start taking one test every two days next week but the closer I get to the actual test the more worried and stressed out I become. I’ve been prepping for over a month but I’m still stressing out over the math section. My other sections (Reading, English, and Science) are relatively high (all in the mid to high 30s) but it’s just math that I’m stressed about. Ideally, I would like to get a 28-30 but a 26+ could be acceptable if my other scores are high (which I’m pretty sure they will be) I’m just so stressed because I would like to get a 32 or above. By the thoughts on the forum it sounded like the math was hard which is only stressing me out more. Do any ACT math geniuses have any tips for succeeding? I’m just so anxious

P.S. I already have the ACT Red Book and the Princeton Review ACT book which I don’t really like

For math just practice practice practice etc

yup, there are no tricks for math, its all pretty easy but the timing is pretty hard (at least for me). you have to get used to the time so just practice practice practice

@bigbossman1 -__-; Why would I be a ■■■■■?Sorry but I don’t do “trolling” All I stated were statements I got from ACT rep and from calling the corporate office.

And ok I guess the person talking to me made a mistake by giving me a date that is 2-3 days earlier than what was mentioned. -.-

I’m still new to how the ACT is.Geesh.

@SammyxB its not u its just that one would think an official ACT person would know his or her stuff before giving it out. Lol u would think they would know how many ppl would argue about it on college confidential ;)

What is the reasoning for releasing it a week early? I’m not complaining, I’m just curious why. One week seems really fast to send in and grade all of the tests.

Well they released scores that quickly in April too…maybe it’s a new thing?

Maybe that’s how they’re doing it now

Faster releases = more customers

The ACT might be releasing scores quickly in April and potentially in June due to the fact that many colleges’ deadlines for reporting ACT scores are close around these time periods.

Lol no its not for sure for June. And deadlines are November 1 and January 1, and rolling admissions are till…february?

But I think its to help late ACT test takers who take it december or october to help THOSE deadlines and to become more used to it they grade it a week early for the other ACTs

Did anyone else feel that this test was unusually hard? Granted, this is my first actual ACT. However, I’ve taken at least three complete ACT practices and scored 32-33 on all of them. For me at least the Science and Math were a little bit harder than normal (and what was with the science having outside knowledge?). Does anyone agree? Or did I just have a bad experience?

From the last 50 pages of this discussion it’s been the common talk that this ACT was a little bizarre in many aspects. Several knowledge-based questions, “unusually hard reading”, etc.

Oh well, scores are Sunday so we’ll know how it came out before we know it. No need to stress.

@foolishprophet lol same here which I still find strange because those are usually my strong areas.

@DL43516 lol technically monday since it comes out at 12 am ;)

I thought English, math, and reading we’re hard while science was really easy except for the lipid question(ATP/starch/amino acid)

Were

@austin23 To be quite honest, that’s just simple biology. Everyone should know that. I don’t understand why people are thrown off by that.

At my school, we don’t take biology until junior year and I’m still a sophomore
