look on google: all the sites say that MOnroe Doctrine was executive order and unilateral declaration of principles

notice how Monroe Doctrine is under presidential speech, not executive order, because that's all it was - a speech to Congress.

Oh, and try to ignore the fact that the website is a conservative website...

Did you guys get the zit suit riot one? I thought there were a lot of random stuff on the test. Also, was Charles Beard the historian?

zuit suit riot was the LA and the Mexicans answer. I have no idea what Charles Beard question you're talking about

he was a choice for the turner question (frontier)

guys was the choice DROUGHT for the Dustbowl one? i dont remember Dust bowl in the answer choices

If you mean the painting one then yes it was the drought during the 1930s

thank ya son

Regarding the Monroe Doctrine question. I think its fairly clear by now that the answer was "unilateral decleration of principles"
-It was not an executive order, as it had no executive order #
-It was not international law http://www.infoplease.com/ce6/history/A0859749.html
"The doctrine was not ratified by any congressional legislation; it did not obtain a place in international law"

How many wrong do u think will still be an 800. Im hoping that 9 wrong (-11) will be the cutoff.

just common sense...its a unilateral declaration of principles

it was between that one and international law for me

Unfortunately i chose the wrong one (as always)

ugh...like 18 wrong and 4 omitted im screwed

what do u guys anticipate the curve to be

like...what would these raw scores equal

90
80
70
60

i know sparknotes says 800, 790, 740, 670 for those 4 raw scores

yeah the kaplan book says the same pretty much. i think it may be too generous, but hopefully not!

Freeze- On the May exam, I omitted 4 and knew more than 15 from this board that I got wrong.. and I ended up with a 710.

what about that question about why virginia became a slave colony?

i put beecuase disease caused labor shortages (slaves were very esxpensive so i assumed that a source of cheap labor was not hte correct answer)

haha well thats inspiring laurgirl...thank you

maybe just maybe i wont cancel my scores

Obviously you didnt make silly mistakes though like i i did

was there a question with an answer choice...slaves were experienced at picking cotton in Africa?

Yes, i think that was one of the answer choices (I forget what I answered for that one though).

that was an all of the following EXCEPT question and i too put that they were experienced at picking cotton (meaning that they werent) becuase i looked at the diagram of the trangular trade and their were no cotton exports from africa lol. Plus i remembered that south carolina got slaves because they were experienced at growing rice so i figured they were trying to confuse us.

Anyone?
