i left like 5-6 blank and know for sure i got 1 wrong

k, what about why does e.coli have the system of activating galactidose at will?
answers were like
a) some people don't always drink milk
b) human intestine secretes lactose
hmm . . . i put A

another one, when glucose is simply burned as opposed to being oxidized, what is different?
a) oxidized occurs at lower temps
b) more energy released with oxided glucose
c) no heat energy released with oxidized
...some other stuff

i was choosing between a and the one that was like... lactose is toxic... but i ended up choosing a, because the other wouldn't make sense because it says the advantages of controling the production of the whateverenzyme...

oh yeah, where it said lactose is toxic while galacisodase isn't . . k good, I put A too

oh yeah, Acacia tree and ant eating nectar from it

adaptive radiation or coevolution??

hey for that second one i put lower temps (A)... but that was a complete guess

i put co :/

edit: yah it is lower temp

Frog and the reproductive cells question, conclusion that. . .

developmental genes do not change as one grows up
proteins aren't modified as one gets older

??

oh yeah, and the cells that did survive from the nuclei of the intestinal cells will be idential right? and the method - cloning

im pretty sure that was coevolution. I pondered on that a bit, but adaptive radiation means divergence of species to fill different niches which wasn't the case

ohh man, i didnt put lower temp, i put more energy is released, since it goes thru the ETC chain and everything, while the other process is simply burning glucose?

good i put coevolution too

it was cloning

found out i got like 10 wrong :P what do you guys anticipate the curve will be?

do you remember what you put for the other questions with that?

Roosters & Testoserone experiment . . .

testes would be smaller in testosterone injected chicks than those with control

c.ock size would grow as testosterone is added (hah, **** is starred out, lmao)

120 difference in sizes

what would prevent a woman from having a baby if ovulation was working?
I. falliopian tubes blocked
II. LH produced right before ovulation
III. sperm unable to swim in low PH of uterus

Ecoli experiment conclusion
a) solution 3 destroys cell walls of bacteria
b) solution 2 and water control are comparable

Mutant 2 could NOT produce galacisodase no matter what cuz . . .

i put amino acid sequence for that gene was incorrect
they had the same answer with nucleotide sequence instead of amino acid

Near End: How could girl tell her breath had acid in it? did u put test tubes with bromethyl blue or limewater??

injected roosters would mature more quickly.
Ecoli: You can't be sure that the solution would destroy the cell walls, so i didnt put that.
Mutant 2 could not produce galac b'c nucleotide sequence was incorrect (amino acid sequences aren't inheritable ... )
Acid one ... brom blue one of course because limewater cannot detect acid. ( i think i dont remember the table)

For the one with the woman and ovulation, I put I & III.

Umm, for the E.Coli one I put Solution II and the Water were comparable.

I know I put Choice E for why Mutant 2 couldn't produce the enzyme, but that was pretty much a guess and I don't even remember what the choice was.

Yeah, and for roosters I got size difference as 120 and that c.ock size increases as you add testorterone.

sarorah, it's testis not **** :P ... I put it would grow bigger, but it might that they will reach sexual maturity quicker (not sure)

i had 120, pretty sure it was right

didnt even bother with ovulation

for e coli, I had solution 2 and water (the q didn't say anything about it destroying cell walls)

i put nucleotide sequence... amino acids are derived from them (someone confirm this??)

I guessed bromethyl blue, but limewater also seemed to work (someone else answer this?)

lurker, explain those?? why would it mature quicker? the q specifically said that it helped with the growth of the size of the testi

because testosterone signifies maturation ... it didnt say it would make the testi grow. it said it would make the c.ock grow which means 'male chicken'

I put amino acids, because when proteins are being made, most mutations happen while creating them, proteins are made from amino acids, and since the ENZYME didn't work, it must've been a problem with the protein . . but the answer was NOT that the mutant couldn't produce any proteins, that assumed too much . . nucleotides create DNA

I put bromethyl blue
I put solution 2 and water were comparable too since you couldnt deduct that solution 3 specifically destroyed their cell walls . . . a lot of other factors could have been considered as to why the E.coli was dyign

falliopian tube blocked? but ovulation is working . . .

Another question:
Darwin's theory of evolution included all EXCEPT . . .
it was between organisms producing similar organisms
and
species of some organisms becoming extinct

testes would be smaller because . . it said that the PITUATARY GLAND inhibited the growth of the testes when there's too much testoserone in the body, so the more testosterone added, the smaller the testes . .

wasnt sure about the darwin one ... i put the producing similar organisms one though
