June 2006 - English Literature

i just want 650. :(

700 if i'm like very, very lucky or if the curve is generous. :D

wasnt that one in the sculpture one? um...i think snobbish or something? i actually cant remember

i put snobbish and capricious.. not sure though

yea ithink i did too. what else guys...were doing well

Yes! You're right it was in the sculpture one, sorry. Gah, I put snobbish and capricious too but my friend put indiscrimant and immodest. What do you guys think?

For the lily one...there was a I, II, III question...i put E but i cant remember the actual wording.

yes... I remember picking a I,II, and III choice

indiscrimant isnt right because it was his judgment that she was acting snobby...indiscriminant would mean she wasnt judging

how is she capriciuos?

cant make up her mind between her suitors and her creator?

JMO, I don't remember a I, II, III question for the lily one, could you try to remember more? You could be right, it's just not clicking in my mind right now.

it was about two particular lines...the middle short ones. and the I and II were definetly right, i jsut dont know if the last one about changing the meter (which it did) was right...it said something about changing the meter

Oh, I picked changing meter for that one. I don't remember the other two Roman Numerals though, do you?

then i think all three were right...i cant remember exactly..any more questions/answers

this exam is slowly becoming a blur

guys we can do it haha come on

was the answer to the first question of the black women passage : she does not define herself is race, gender, or time?

yep i think so

No...I put Hurston celebrated herself in a defiant way or something.

i was between those two... yet in the passage it explicity said "she did not define herself is race, gender or time"...so I choose A
