Yeah, that is what I put, "like and element sweeing though him"..

same here!! i wasnt sure if it was that or the last one...like the super deep one

i'm probably retaking lit after today's test.

i need a 700.

I put the elemental force sweeping through him for Kid Jones, but I was really torn on that. I eventually went with it because the burden didn't make sense (I recall somewhere in the passage it said Kid Jones felt lighter than air, or something like that).

I don't know why everyone's saying the train passage was so hard. It was the easiest for me. On the other hand, the Mrs Slipslop and the oak/lily poem killed me. I put that the logge represented a corpse, because a felled tree (log) isn't alive anymore.

i put corpse too... i still think thts the answer

darn...i put the log representing an old person or watever

I put old man/woman after I erased corpse. I just don't think that a corpse would fall and die, since it's already dead. And the poem was talking about old age and dying. Although I guess it's easier to see how a log would relate to a corpse image-wise, but I don't know. There's no point in arguing anyway.

yeah thats what I was thinking Julina. i remember vaguely that there was something in the text that corpse was substituted for log, it didn't really make sense...can't put my finger on it though but I hope I'm right =X

Haha, bepiozo, it looks like we're in this together but alone. ;x

hey for the last question on the test what were the answer choices?

The Oake was supposed to symbolize the old people, the logge was supposed to symbolize the corpse. Atleast that was how I interpreted it.

I thought the oak tree was just a symbol of how people only care about the big things in life, and don't stop to appreciate the little things (lily) ...unless....i interpreted the whole freaking poem wrong! o_O;;; geez i should stop going here...it's making me nervous and we still have like 2 months to worry about how well we did

by the way, does anyone know when we're supposd to get our AP grades? was it late june?

yo is it possible for us to make a list of the answers we know? and other questions we haven't discussed yet, i still dont have an idea of how i did...

But don't young people die as corpses too? I think we're supposed to get AP scores in July....And I'm almost afraid to make a list of Lit answers because I don't want to see how many I've gotten wrong. ;x

EDIT: Bepiozo, we have until June 26th to worry about how we did. And then we can continue to worry over the summer until we retake the test again, if we have to.

i'm taking the sat 2 lit again probably in december, the last one before college apps, depending on this score of course.

it said fell a logge...you cant fell something already dead.

JMO, a dead tree can be felled for wood, but that doesn't make it alive.

Ok...but in the context of the poem..why would you want to get wood from the tree...its about someone dying and saying how even if the life was short (the logge being felled)...its worth it.

i really feel like "old woman or man" was a trap answer....

Lol, I feel like "corpse" was a trap answer. ;p But there's no use in arguing over it now, I just hope I can get 750+. What do you guys think 6-8 wrong would be?
