what was the answer for that polariod question.. a beam of light shines through a verticle polariod and then a horizontal polariod. (kinda like TV)...

No light will travel thru.

no light emerges from opposite polarized filters

A honors class at a good school can equal an AP class at a crappy school.

So whether or not it's honors or AP doesn't matter. It's whether your school & instructor are good.

Aw. Thats another. Any other questions people can remember?

arghh... 1 omitted and 1 wrong already!!! i need that 800 or i swear my parents will put me into foster home or somthin... lol

Wow. I have 11 wrong and 3 omit. Don't complain.

ugh, i have 3 wrong now.
new question: which part of the wave was moving up?

But this is my retake.. I am expected to do better.. haha..

Anyway what scores did u guys get in ure practice test (if u did any)?

800, hopefully the same on the actual test.

Foolonthehill - I think it was B... cant remmeber... u can just imagine the wave moving in the direction stated and walla!! u will see all the points moving down and 1 moving up

On the Real SAT 2 test, I had 2 wrong, so I got a 800.
On the 2 Princeton Review Tests, I had 800 800 (but I got pretty lucky)
On the 3 Sparknotes Tests, I had 760, 720, 720. (some of the questions don't have diagrams, but I still did really bad)

Soo.... yeah, definitely all over the place.

Hahahahahaha. Before I started trying to teach myself waves, optics, magnetism and modern physics, I got a 610 on a Sparknotes test. This test doesn't matter all that much for me, because my three top colleges either don't require SAT II's (Chicago), or only require 2 (Penn and Duke), and I have 800's on Math II and USH. Im probably gonna retake anyway, unless I get a 750 or better.

Yeah, sparknotes tests are really hard. I remember getting like 600 or 560 for the bio tests then doing a lot better on the actual (790).
Ahh, I really want an 800 on this stupid physics test, but at this rate I'm gonna end up having like over 15 wrong.

15 wrong? Sorry dude but u can probably forget the 800 by now...

Well, isn't 750 as good as 800? Also, we have only been discussing the most difficult questions. Like 60% the test was really easy; we haven't discussed those questions.

Well, as long as you guys start getting some of the answers that I put, then maybe it won't have to be that way ^_^.

I'm thinking about it though. I think we have discussed around 24 questions maybe? I already have 3 of those wrong. So out of 75 questions, I will roughly have 9 to 10 questions wrong just by that ratio at the very least. Add in some careless mistakes... and.... DUNZO

yeah im going for my 5th 800, i thought D was going up, but i guess i was looking at the wave from the wrong perspective. also can we get a conclusion on the electron entering the magnetic field, which one points in the plane and such? it was like #13

but isn't 15 wrong still like a 770+? Hopefully the curve will be generous since the consensus here seems to be that the test was indeed hard...

I put D TOOO OMG OMG ESCIUS PLEASE BE RIGHT!!!!.

with the plane, it was the littl cute circles with dots in them. so using left hand rule for electorns, it was like fingers 1 through 4 pointing up and the thumb to the left. and the palm is then beasting forward (the top of ur paper) I think that diagram was the correct one?
