oh damnit, i see what you're saying BUT it also asked for the horizontal distance. and the inclined plane won't increase the horizontal acceleration, that always remains uniform, right? or is that wrong? the velocity in the Y DIRECTION will increase, though.

and keta, couldn't you use average acceleration?

thebillsfan, I think you are thinking too hard about the problem. My first reaction was the frictionless inclined plane. I've used this forumla to do such problems before. The only acceleration would be caused by the weight component parallel to the ramp, which is also considered the horizontal distance down the ramp. Using average acceleration may work, but I don't think the SAT people were being that tricky. Also, they would put a distractor answer like a horizontal plane there so people would pick up on the word "horizontal". Just my 2 cents.

The charge one was which charge will experience a net force to the left. That's the positive charge on the very right.

okay, you're right, cb wouldn't use avg accel...but still....unless when they wrote x=Vo+.5(accel)(t-squared) they meant x as in vertical distance, which would be completely dumb on their part, then i have a valid argument. Because even on an inclinced plane, it's horizontal velocity isn't INCREASING. It's total velocity it, but only because of the accel in the y component. Am I right?

thanks keta.I think I got that right :D

It's velocity in the x-direction is also increasing. Imagine an object placed on the incline plane beginning at rest. It will accelerate down the incline plane, which results in acceleration in both x and y directions. If it only accelerated in the y-direction, as in a freefall, it would move in a parabola.

doesnt matter...the acceleration is still constant.

can someone else PLEASE compile some more questions and answers?

hey what you guys put for the one about radial / tangential force? I dont remember the exact question but the answer choices had dealt with radial and tangential acceleration

and the one about the point on the wave for 2T? it was like in the first 10 questions

"doesnt matter...the acceleration is still constant."

Yes, that's what I said.

i think i put the tangential force is increasing...

Also, for Q 22) the answer is 3600/1 and not 1/3600 for force

lol i looked at my review book i was VERY VERY VERY UPSET there was nothing about alpha / beta / gamma decay .................. yea its 1/3600 wrote it wrong :( neone remember the question about radial / tangential force?

I dont remember any question on decay on the test.....

i know iw as upset that there was no alpha beta or gamma decay on the sat ii test not my review book lol
