There is also a major obstacle outside the workshop: the resistance
of buyers to new woods. Thus far, most of the instruments
have been sold to environmentalists, some of whom
“adopt” a student by paying his or her tuition; the student’s
“project guitar” is then given to the donor as a gift.

why would customer reluctance be the answer? I thought the question was asking for what WAS NOT in the passage - customer reluctance is (see above post by me)

I still don’t understand which one was the problem then. The tree problem was solved. Oh, and I remember the other two options, the glue on the guitars wasn’t sticking and they were cracking in climates that weren’t as warm as the amazon.

Yeah, it was the shortage of trees. I remember looking back at that one.

On the eel one, I didn’t really get to that one. How many of those were C? I guessed on about 5 of the questions. I answered the questions that didn’t require reading the entire exert because I didn’t have enough time. Was I close?

K if someone could put this to rest for me I’d REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!! On the list of answers under the amazon passage an answer is “the forest stuff could be worked on else where in the amazon.” However, I read the passage just now and there is no indication of this…so is tht an answer?

Also…on a question about the function of like the 2nd paragraph in the amazon passage did anyone get to show that the Amazon was becoming populated and more urban/ declining rural economy.

Yes that is true. It DID say that. That is actualy what I put at first but I am pretty sure the answer choice said something like “Most will be politicians” which is not gonna happen.

I used the–read introduction, skim everything else (underline and right a word or two by the paragraph), read conclusion; quickly refer back to confirm answers–strategy. I finished with a few seconds left.

I think I did my best on the reading and the worst on science (I know 25 are correct).

I think its best just to wait it out…like we can help it anyways
