Good luck everyone! Post all discussion related to the June 2009 ACT Reading Section here.

I hope the reading section is easy.=P

Yes! First time I had time to go back and check my answers!

i really think i got perfect on this one.

DD said reading was easy. Had time to go back and check all of her answers and thinks she got them all right.

i was a bit unsure on one of the first questions on the prose fiction; otherwise, i was pretty confident with everything else.

hmmmm, was hoping it was about the same as last time my son took it, if most feel it was easier, curve may be harsher and he needed to bring this section up

I spent too much time on the first passage- I only had 5 mins for the entire eel passage :(. Just picked out the answers I could

It was weird…every single passage I read on the ACT (compared to the SAT) I was really interested in. I had no trouble focusing or anything because I was genuinely interested on each of the topics (like the eel, the amazon guitar making…cool stuff).

"i was a bit unsure on one of the first questions on the prose fiction; otherwise, i was pretty confident with everything else.

+1

Does anyone remember the answer to the last eel question? I think the choices were color, shape, size, and something else?

i put color but i had no idea

size (they were so small they the scientists concluded it had just been born, in the sargassi sea)

Ya and his earliest passion was it butterflies…my mind said butterflies but my heart said drumming = D

Darn, I put color.

Size and butterflies were answers.

Yup butterflies. at first i was like drums but then i was like wait, heck no haha

is butterflies for the one about the philosopher guy? because i put the earliest things that engaged his passion was philosophy.

I think that was later in life.

ya its butterflies
