what was the first F/T question?

K + H20 yealds OH-.

H20 is not an acid in this equiation but a base thuse only acids and metals can produce H2 answer is OH-

2p holds 6 unpaired electrons.

3 paired electrons

yea, 6 e totally, which means 3 pairs
but the question asked for unpaired –> each orbital can only holds 1 unpaired e
therefore 3 orbitals holds 3 unpaired e

2P DOES NOT HOLD 6 UNPAIRED ELECTIONS.

They would have to be PAIRED in order to be SIX. It’s a test of some rule or another. :stuck_out_tongue: [Aufbau? Hund’s?]

Another question I got TTCE as an answer was the isomer one

Covalent bonds on butane=10

What did you guys put for the acid rain question in the beginning? I put sublimation.

nope thats neutralization^

Thanks, I think the test went well.

The one with the purple vapor? was it condensation or sublimation?

No. If I can pick through your atrocious English, I assume you mean to state that H2 gas was not produced? If so, you’re wrong. And you’re also plain wrong on the 2p question as well.

hm i put nuetralizaton. i dunno
cuz i remember learing the lime stone is more of a base than anything else thus So3 and limestone(very close to base) would be nuetralization.

the lab proceudre which was wrong was the water one when diluting acid

did anyone remeber a string of like 3-4 E’s in the region of like the 50’s on the answer sheet?

2p holds 3 UNPAIRED electrons, and i can see why you would say 6, but they wouldn’t be unpaired any more, they’d be paired electrons.

Also, K + H2O yields H2 gas as a product, sorry, i was wrong i guess… ****.
i think i have like 2 wrong, but it was pretty easy overall.

neutralisation
propane has 10 covalent bonds: 8 bonds of 8Hs and 2 bonds of 3Cs

Really? “crystal” was the giveaway. It was sublimation.

iodine sublimes to make vapor

One of the last questions=the energy required to vaporize a solid into a gas->heat of sublimation?

go to kentchemistry.com and check it out yourself.

the question asked for unpair electons. so the answer would be 6.

If it asked for pairs than it would be 3 .

Sorry for the typos. I’m typing really quickly due to anxiety lol

Was it?

Limestone is a base?

2p CAN hold 6 unpaired electrions, even though it has 3 domains/orbitals

yes the last question was sublimation.

and the answer to the equiation was OH-

didnt have to many TTCE’s maybe only 4
