June 2009 SAT Math

actually, i didnt study for math cuz i got an 800 last time.
but this one was way easier.
so im sure everyone did pretty well

just wondering… but… what did you get about the one with the 55 guys and 45 girls… but only 30 have blue eyes… what is the least amount of girls that can have blue eyes… it was something like that.

If I remember it correctly the question asked for the least amount of girls without blue eyes.

I just thought that all the 30 kids were girls and subtracted that from 45 to get 15, although I may be wrong with the numbering.

okay yea… that’s what i got… but idk… something about that question irks me… it just… seemed tooooo easy… i mean… 45 minus 30?!? really?? idk…

are you sure there wasnt like a secret meaning to it or something??

I thought on the whole the math section was pretty easy. I didn’t get too stumped on anything. For me the trickiest was probably the slopes ?, finding ps or whatever.

yea a lot of it was really easy… and idk… its just some of it was too easy

the kid 1 to kid 15 was 13? I thought they were asking how many kids were in line… i guess I got an easy question wrong…

It asked for how many kids between the two people given, which would be 13, as there were 15 kids overall.

Does anyone remember the exact wording of the “21 slope” problem? Was that the one where you’re given 3 points with missing y coordinates, and then given the slope from one point to the next?

You guys have amazing memories… I forgot everything about the test as soon as I walked out of the room…

All right so could anyone tell me the answer to the problem about the gift certificates and how many 10 dollar ones there are? I kept reading the problem but I don’t think there was enough information to answer that problem. They didn’t state the about of certificates or the limit or maximum you can mix together. Any help is appreciated.

If I remember correctly there were certificates of 5, 10, 15, 20, and 50.

And you need to get 235 with the least number, and with the 20 and 15, you dont need to use the 10 at all.

4-50
1-20
1-15

235

the question with the slope gave you three points. they told you the slope was 1/5 and you had to use the slope formula with the first point of the function w/ (0,0) and repeat the process until you get the y-coordinate of the top point.

what score would be 2 wrong and 1 omit ??? and did any1 get number 19 on the section without grid in it

Which one was the experimental? People are the saying the one with x equals 65…

hey guys, what was the question with answer 500? (something about 25%?) I don’t remember it, but I guess it was on there? lol

Just curious but did anyone notice a pattern on their answer sheets of some sort during the math during the section with 8 questions, and then the rest FR

It looked something like a triangle. It went something like E,D,C,B,C,D,E

thats not exactly what it was but something like it

x=65 (if that is the right answer) was not the experimental. It was on my only grid-in section.

My answer sheet kept weaving back and forth, something like
E, D, B, B, A, B, C, C, E, D

yeah something like that ^
