^I’m telling myself it’s a generous curve too but I think that’s just wishful thinking…
watch the curve be like super harsh man CB sucks

i think physics curve is lenient because it’s… harder?

For most schools, no. ED, however, usually increases one’s chances.

Generally, no. You will have less time to complete your essays and assemble your admissions packet. However, I will take the liberty of using some anecdotal evidence and say that at some institutions, like the University of Chicago, EA is preferable for obtaining merit scholarship money.

if I choose to retake some subject tests in the fall, will the scores be available when applying EA?

^ But the number of questions you can get wrong on physics and still get an 800 is ridiculously high. Like around 8 or 10? Or so I heard.

I’m praying to god that I got a pretty decent score, I need a science SAT II for some colleges I want to apply to :(

Does anyone know if IN the answer sheet (i.e. pgs 2,3,4 for however many tests you took) we were suppose to fill in Parts 8, 9, and 10 (book serial number, book code, etc.)? my proctor adamantly instructed us NOT to fill those in… but i think she was confused by the directions to the language test takers.

yeah the max raw score you can get for physics is 75 and 59 is the lowest score you can get to receive an 800
that’s more than 10 wrong!!!

^ Ughh, dammit, I should’ve just taken the SAT Physics…

Physics (59/75) actually has a better curve than Math 2 (44/50), according to the blue book. (In fact, Physics has the best curve out of all the subject tests.) French (no listening) comes close with 75/85, and with listening, it’s a little better (75/86). Latin comes close with 66/74, and US (79/90) and World (78/95) are better.

So the curve for Math 2 isn’t the most lenient one out there… (On the other extreme, German with listening has a curve of 87/87; miss a question, and no 800 for you. Ouch!)

@Legendaerie: Really? I thought this test was easier than the one in the blue book…

@silverlining
No.

@energize Well, it’s based on what I hear from others… I don’t have many practice tests under my belt to judge. >:]

I just think it’s crazy that in chem you have the most questions and one of the worst curves. Math ii you have 50 questions, and you can -6 and still get an 800. It may not be as much of a curve as Physics, but I also think everyone finds the material easier.

My proctor told us to fill in all those things… will that affect our score?

This is sort of off-topic, but were there any questions again that related to molecular geometry (and orbital hybridization) other than the CCl4 question?

To know NH3 was polar you kinda need to know the geometry. I don’t really remember any others.

what do you people think the curve was? -5 or higher anybody?

I think normal curve is -3… I really hope it’s -5 though…

Do u remember anything with sp3d or sp3d2 hybridization?

what did u guys get for the last T/F question asking about metallic copper?

^ I think put false for the covalent bonds, they’re bonded by metallic bonds, right?

yes covalent bonds are only nonmetals so its false
