June 2010: Spanish

I remember putting funcione

any1 remember the exact sentence for the funciona v funcione question

anyone else remember wat they put for functiona vs functione

I put funcione because the subject was unknown, triggering the subjunctive.

What’s the curve like on this test? I think I got about 10-12 wrong.

hmm I’m not expert in Spanish…but just having an uncertain subject is cause for the subjunctive?

does anyone remember the answer to the blood drive? or the subscription one?

Blood drive was something about calling them to have them come to your workplace.
For the subscription one, I put revista, but I’m not sure if that’s right.

hmm I’m not expert in Spanish…but just having an uncertain subject is cause for the subjunctive?

An unknown (i.e. Necesito algo que…) or non-existent (i.e. No hay nadie que…) subject always triggers the subjunctive.

dang ur rite…do u remember the sentence

No, I don’t. I just know it had something to do with needing a new motor (unknown) that works better.

I’m fairly certain the answer was “funcione.”

Was “sencillos” an answer? and then “lo” bien? Other answers were “por” (sentence had to do with why someone like a piece of art), “a cause de” una tormenta or something, “a menudo.” Was “jubiladas” an answer?

I got all of those.

What did you put for the paragraph fill-in-the-blank question about music (first passage), where the choices were increible, justo, triste, and posible?

I put “justo.” You? I just thought the others made no sense.

I had no clue, so I just guessed increible.

What about the one that said __ que ninguno (choices: maximo, menor, mayor, mejor)? I put mejor, but I wasn’t sure if the use of the word ninguno meant it would be menor instead.

What about the questions whose answer choices were “juego” and “falta”? “Trampa” may have also been a choice…

I remember putting increible…but beyond that I dont remember the other ones…could u plz put them in context

I think that one was “cola” because hacer cola means to stand in line, and it said that the guy was impatient.

I put “mejor” as well. None of the other choices made sense.

"I think that one was “cola” because hacer cola means to stand in line, and it said that the guy was impatient. "

AH! That makes sense. Missed one. ): What were some others? I thought that overall, the reading comprehension was very easy; the first section I thought was the most difficult.

was one of the answers…i believe in the fill in the blank “sed” also in the chocolate essay…did u guys get “algun” and ensenar
