I need to learn the had/have rules before October.

Hi,

I’m thinking my essay was really disasterous.

One of my examples was sweet, but the other was lacking, if not entirely illogical.

Anyone care to evaluate if I send a PM?

Are you guys certain “intent about” is incorrect usage? I know intent on is a better fit but I put no error because I didn’t think it was incorrect.

im pretty sure that intent about it wrong i believe it shouldve been intent on

I think intent on is one of those idioms. :/

yea looks like you guys are right. I’m a grammar junkie but as far as idioms go, I just fail. It sounded funny, but like half the test sounds funny to me…

Looks like the only no error was on the most awkwardly worded sentence out there. Thanks ETS >>

wait have we established which was the experimental? is it the one with the Serena and Venus William one or is it the other one?

It is an idiom, but maybe the past tense changes it…I am no grammer master…what did other people put?

Williams Sisters was experimental.

I didn’t have the serena or venus one I don’t think…

I don’t think past tense could change intent on to intent about though. :/

Can I expect an 800 with -2 wrong, and a 10 essay?

^ I’m wondering that too…guess it depends on the curve.

@YRif: No. I got -2 and 10 essay in March and got 760.

@YRif: No. I got -2 and 10 essay in March and got 760.
^
Is that a typical curve or was that just particularly harsh? D:

Pretty typical.

It’s a little harsh. -2 is usually a 75 or so in the MC, but a 10 on the essay usually raises to 770 or 780. I wouldn’t even discard 800 just yet.

Wait, there were 2 No Error’s right?

was there only 1 error?
if someone got 2 errors, please tell me which ones you thought were no error

I got -3 and 11 on essay and got 750 in January…
