Hi everyone,

I'm taking the Sat II Bio tomorrow and i'm pretty nervous :/

I took the Princeton Review Test and I got a 700 which is an okay score in my view...do you know how the PR test relates to the actual one?

And I'm still debating if I should take E/M....which one should I take?

Take which ever you are most comfortable with. If you feel you know the molecular stuff better, then go with that. If you feel that the environment/evolution is more your style, then go for that one. Personally, I’m doing Ecology.

I’m not sure how the PR stands up. I’m currently working my way through the SparkNotes tests.

Good luck tomorrow!

Thanks

I heard that sparknotes test are like wayyyy harder than the actual test saying that you could add about 50-70 points more to the score you got on your sparknotes tests to see what you would approx. get on the real test

I am so worried, I bombed both of the PR tests (660 and 640 D: ). I don’t understand, I got high A’s in AP Bio (even a 100 one marking period!) and think I did extremely well on the AP exam. I’ve read almost all of the book, and I really want 750+. Am I screwed?

well I’m like at the same lvl as you staryulover pretty much if you think about it, it depends on how hard the test that they give you is to YOU. There isn’t really anything else we could do except studying, reviewing, and taking prac tests. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE.

I got about 690-700 on Kaplan, which are supposed to be the hardest tests there are and around 750 on Sparknotes. I’m hoping for a 770-790 on real test. Night before test schedules/study plans?

vivek_g - Well, that’s good to hear. I did well on my second one. Going for the third now!

@ Staryulover - I wouldn’t say you’re screwed. The PR book may just be difficult. If you did well on the AP exam, and know your Bio, you should be fine on the SAT Biology exam. Don’t let PR discourage you. Go into that test tomorrow knowing you’re going to rape that test.

What book is a better representation of the subject test for biology e/m?

I looked for that all over this site and on Google and soo many people say different things because the difficulty of the actual test is different everytime so it may be more like one thing than another…just what i’m thinking

About sparknotes: i got a 580 on the first practice sparknote test and a 770 the next day on the sat ii. So sparknotes fr bio is a lot harder

javalava - when did you take the test?

My scores on SparkNotes are: 700, 760, 730, 700, 710. What should I expect on the real test? Also, I didn’t double check when I took these so I got some questions that I shouldn’t have gotten wrong…

DANG maybe a 750-800

is sparknotes supposed to be hard? cause I got a little higher perhaps 20-30 higher than loldaniellol

@vivek: last june, after a year of first yr bio

Hmm, I heard the June tests last year had a pretty big curve. Everyone was (pleasantly) surprised when they got their scores. Anyhow, PR, sparknotes, and pretty much every practice test is harder than the real thing, and most people get higher on the actual than the practices…that doesn’t exactly make me less worried though…

is it better to take this test after taking AP Bio or could you take it just by taking regular bio?

After AP Bio, of course…

Post-test thoughts anyone???

I’m a freshman. I took the May SAT2 for Bio and I was surprised by how much easier the June one was. Maybe it’s just because I studied harder? Any other thoughts?
