***June 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

What do people think the curves will be like for this test?

Everything will probably be average (curve wise), except for writing (harsh).

By the way why do you have jail bars all over your profile pic?

@Kreig01

@jarjarbinks23 Can you explain what you mean by harsh?

@Kreig01 as in their curve might not be as nice.

Like 1 wrong at an 11 essay might be a 780 or 790 instead of an 800.

By the way why do you have jail bars all over your profile pic?

@jarjarbinks23 ok gotcha…so you think the curves for math and reading will be more generous?

@Kreig01 IMO I think curves for both will be average. After all, on the March SAT so many CCers talked about the Bijah passage being a ■■■■■ and yet the curve was harsh.

@Jarjarbinks23‌ what do you think the score would be for math if I got -3 raw score? and -4? Just trying to estimate what I would get

@Kreig01 I’ll just give you worst-case scenarios since most of us overestimate our scores.

These scores are based on a harsher-than-usual curve.

-4 raw = 710
-3 raw = 720

@‌ Kreig01

<a href=“SAT Score Calculator - The College Panda”>http://■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■.com/sat-score-calculator/

-_- stupid link got censored… google “Panda SAT score calc”

@jarjarbinks23 Well in that case I hope the curve is not harsh lol…in march I got -4 raw score and got a 730…that curve must be an example of a generous one… I expect to get -3 on this one…hopefully I can at least match last time

@Kreig01 in your experience, if CC says a section (math, CR, writing) is hard, is the curve for that section usually lenient? Or is CC mostly incorrect with such predictions with curve leniency?

@jarjarbinks23 Well, last time in march when I was asking around everyone said the curve for math would be very harsh and I ended up getting 730 for -4, which is fairly generous. So from my one experience CC was incorrect, but this was just one instance.

I’m hoping 4-5 wrong and a 10 essay can be a 700. (crossing my fingers)

what^? XD

9 more days! (if you are staying up till 5 AM eastern)

took a practice writing sat. made 7 total mistakes with 3 of them being extremely careless ones. got a 660 instead of a 710 :-S makes me more nervous for my writing score. honestly felt the SAT writing was easier than that of my practice test. Here’s #12 for sentence errors. BECAUSE(A) the previous night’s storm HAD DOWNED(B) several trees along the road, IT APPEARED UNLIKELY© that many students WOULD(D) arrive on time for the assembly. (E)

I think it’s “E”… the use of past perfect (used to denote events that happened BEFORE the past) seems correct

@Jarjarbinks23‌ your right. I thought it was B. thought the had was too wordy, unnecessary. what about this one. The guidance counselor’s recommendation INCLUDED(A) a plan WHERE(B) each student was TO VISIT© colleges THROUGHOUT(D) the spring of junior year.(E)
